As of right now, over 90% of our customers have either been upgraded to the new Office 365 experience, or have heard from us that they will be upgraded in September. For everyone who hasn’t heard from us yet, we still expect to have nearly all of our customers upgraded in the next few months.
If you are an Enterprise customer scheduled for upgrade in September don’t forget that you can use the Early Upgrade feature to pilot the new experience immediately for up to 100 users. And if you have less than 100 users, there’s no reason to wait: you can upgrade them all now.
Please check out the Office 365 service upgrade center for more information about the service upgrade.
Last month, we added Message Center, a new admin feature for communications, and it’s available whether your upgrade is complete or not. Message Center will help inform Office 365 admins about new features and actions they need to take to keep their Office 365 service running smoothly.
If you have Office as part of your Office 365 subscription you can take advantage of the new Office clients today, including the newly released clients for Android phones and iPhones.
- Office Mobile for Android phones: just download the app from the Google Play store and sign-in to Office Mobile for Android with your existing username and password.
- Office Mobile for iPhone: just install “Office Mobile for Office 365 subscribers” from the App Store, and sign-in to Office with your existing username and password.
- The new Office Web Apps.
- The new version of Office, Office 365 ProPlus.
As a reminder, this upgrade sets the foundation for us to be able to deliver more frequent, incremental updates, rather than upgrades. Our new update approach will allow you to consume new functionality more easily and rapidly. Future Office 365 updates will be communicated through our Office 365 technology blog.
