The Windows Intune service is performing scheduled maintenance beginning on Monday, September 9th 2013, at 3:00 PM UTC. The duration of this maintenance is scheduled for eight hours.

During this maintenance period, we will be moving a portion of our back-end service over to new hardware and as a result, there will be delays in the following areas:

  • New subscriptions
New subscriptions created during this time period will not be provisioned until the maintenance window is completed. Once the maintenance window is over, customers can then use the Windows Intune service.

  • License Changes
Any increase or decrease in licenses will not be immediately reflected during this maintenance window.

  • Add/Removing Vanity Domains
Adding or removing a vanity domain will not be immediately reflected during this maintenance window. This could result in failed login attempts if a user is configured to use a newly added domain name. Once the maintenance is over, changes made to vanity domains will be processed and can be used.

These delays will be perceived by all Windows Intune customers.

Beyond the above mentioned items, all other areas of the Windows Intune service will be fully operational and customers will not experience any reduced functionality.
